Why this book?

Every time I take part as a judge or reviewer for hundreds, even thousands, of student projects across various competitions and conferences, the students' effort is clearly evident — yet many of these projects lack some of the fundamental skills of scientific writing. Some struggle with scientific presentation skills, while others are searching for the starting point that would let them develop their ideas into advanced research, patents, or even new innovations. For this reason, and over the past seven years, my mission has become training students in the skills of engaging with science — both reading and writing it. This book is a comprehensive foundational base in research and innovation, written for computer science students and applied science students in general.
